Johnny Depp's Dogs Under Threat

Johnny Depp arrived back in Australia last month.

Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce has warned that Johnny Depp's pet Yorkshire terriers, Pistol and Boo, who are with him on the Gold Coast, will be "euthanased" if they are not returned to the US.

It is believed Depp, 51, brought the dogs by private jet to Queensland, where he is filming the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie, without declaring them to quarantine.

"He's now got about 50 hours left to remove the dogs, he can put them on the same charter jet he flew out on and fly them back out of our nation," Joyce told ABC Brisbane Radio. "We found out he snuck them in because we saw him taking them to a poodle groomer. Now Mr Depp has to either take his dogs back to California or we're going to have to euthanse them."

Joyce said there was a strict process for bringing animals into the country: "You get the permits, they go into quarantine and then you can have them," he said. "If dogs come in and they have rabies ... the whole life in Brisbane changes. It's time that Pistol and Boo buggered off back to the United States."
