'George, Charlotte and Louis didn't meet cousin Archie until he was two months old'

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s three children met baby Archie for the first time at the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day, it has been revealed.

Prince George, then five, Princess Charlotte, four, and one-year-old Prince Louis were spotted playing together on the sidelines, as Kate and Meghan, holding their two-month-old cousin, stood side by side.

“It was interesting actually that polo match because it was the first time that Charlotte and George had actually met Archie, they hadn’t actually met him for two months, so that polo match was lovely,” The Sun’s royal correspondent Emily Andrews tells Yahoo UK’s ‘The Royal Box.’

While Kate and William visited their new nephew at the Sussexes’ home Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, around a week after his birth on May 6, they didn’t take their children with them, according to Andrews.

Baby Archie snoozed in his mother’s arms during the polo match, while his older cousins George and Charlotte were spotted playing football.

A toddling Louis sparked laughter from Meghan when he walked around wearing mum Kate’s sunglasses.

When Harry and Meghan’s baby news was announced, during an engagement in Greenwich, William said he was “thrilled” about his new nephew.

He joked: “I'm very pleased and glad to welcome my own brother into the sleep deprivation society that is parenting.”

The Cambridges are now reportedly in Mustique, a private island in the Caribbean, for their summer holiday.

Prince George celebrated his sixth birthday on Monday 22 July and his parents released three new photos of him to mark the occasion. In two of the snaps taken by Kate, he is wearing an England football shirt.

Harry has two days of engagements this week - Dr. Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots Global Leadership Meeting in Windsor on Tuesday and a visit to Sheffield on Thursday. Meghan remains on maternity leave until autumn.
