What happened to Buzz from Home Alone?

It's been almost 30 years since Home Alone first hit screens with child star Macaulay Culkin's antics as Kevin McCallister cementing the film as a Christmas classic. Culkin wasn't the only child star to get us chuckling though, with actor Devin Ratray playing Kevin's bully older brother, Buzz. So what's Devin been up to since?

Following the success of Home Alone, Devin went on to reprise his character in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, before landing a minor role in 1993 film Dennis the Mennis. He kept acting through the 90s and noughties, playing a murderous villain in an episode of Law & Order and further roles in spin-offs Special Victims Unit and Criminal Intent.

In 2009 Devin starred in Courting Condi, an obscure and controversial documentary movie where he travelled around the United States attempting to woo then-US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Described as a "musical docu-tragi-comedy" the film almost wasn't made after commissioners Discovery under-funded production in response to pressure from President George W Bush's office. The UK's Channel 4 eventually stepped in to fund production, with the documentary premiering at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival and winning a string of awards at other festivals.

Devin continued acting, with TV roles in Supernatural and The Good Wife and film roles including a part in 2013 comedy-drama Nebraska and Jennifer Lopez's 2019 film Hustlers. In 2021, the actor took the chance to reprise his role as Buzz in Disney's straight-to-streaming sequel, Home Sweet Home Alone, playing Officer Buzz McCallister. The film was met with overwhelmingly negative reviews.
