Unclaimed Baggage Centre in Alabama, US, is a one-of-a-kind retail shopping experience – it’s basically an op shop/museum stocked with everything people have forgotten or lost at the airport.

It’s stocked with 7000 new items every day, with over a million items arriving each year.

If an extensive 90-day search by the airlines to reunite an unclaimed bag with its rightful owner is not successful, the centre purchases the leftover luggage.

Items deemed unsellable are either re-purposed or thrown away, but most are donated to good causes.

The centre is a treasure trove of clothing, electronics, computers, cameras, sporting goods, accessories, fine jewellery, shoes and other specialty items.

Here are just a few of the strange things people have left behind.
