Watch 'The Summit's Dennis and Beckylee Scheme to Take Out Amy (Exclusive)

We're over halfway through The Summit, and Dennis Cho and Beckylee Rawls have pursued two completely different strategies. The trauma nurse is far and away the most visible person on the new series, more talked about than the very mountains the trekkers are climbing. While he takes glee in getting to manipulate the competition for his desired outcome, it hasn't come without consequences and notice from the others.

Beckylee, on the other hand, is playing a much more behind-the-scenes game. She's remained good with everyone left, and even helped steer a couple of votes in her favor in a much less visible way than Dennis. So, when an opportunity presents itself for the two to be alone en route to the next checkpoint, the two players come together to make a move.

"Amy, this morning I woke up to her trying to get Jeannie to turn on me," Dennis tells Beckylee. "And obviously, I heard that, and obviously, I'm the easy target as always. So I think she's just trying to rally up the troops.

It's a move about as surreptitious as the mountains that surround them. But Dennis is feeling a bit desperate. After his name had been thrown out in the past two episodes, he knows he needs to find a way out, and fast.

"I get paired up with Beckylee, and I'm gonna take advantage of that," he says in confessional. "I just wanna see where her head's at. Because it's really hard to have my back in this game. Because obviously, I've done a lot of things that are kinda shady. And I'm deceiving and manipulative."

In the moment, Beckylee is nodding along as Dennis opens up, as he proposes they get three other people together to vote out Amy. It's tough to figure out if she truly intends on going along with his plan. But in private, we see she is surprisingly up in the air.

"I feel really bad for Dennis," she says in confessional. "People have been gunning for him for the past four nights. With Amy, her and I have been close. Nut the more this game progresses, the more nervous she makes me, because she is good with everyone. And she's also somebody that is like, 'Oh, I like you, so I can't morally vote for you.' I don't like that. And I trust Dennis. I think he's a messy player, but I think I could try to mold him."

Will Beckylee try to take Dennis under her wing? Will it come at the cost of one of the most likable players? Check out our exclusive sneak peek of tonight's episode above. New episodes of The Summit air Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
