Watch Prince Harry Freak Out After Seeing Botched Neck Tattoo
Well, this was not on my 2024 bingo card.
Prince Harry is a man of his word—which is why the royal fully committed to getting some new ink to honor a deal he made with country star (and tattoo aficionado) Jelly Roll.
In a new video shared to the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 Instagram account, Harry got a neck tattoo while simultaneously announcing that the Grammy-winning singer would close out the 2025 Invictus Winter Games. In the clip, someone asks Harry, "Take a look around, can we get you anything?" as the prince gets comfortable in a chair at a tattoo parlor. "No, I'm alright. Is he going to be here any time soon?," Harry responds.
Jelly Roll then walked into the frame and greeted the duke saying, "Hey, hey! Tattoos! Speaking of! What's up! I'm such a fan, dude. Do you know I could not believe it when they called me and told me Prince Harry wanted to get a tattoo today? They wanted me to give him his first tattoo? This is the coolest thing ever!"
Before Harry could protest, Jelly Roll explained, "We're giving you a tattoo about the Invictus Games."
"No, I came here to ask you to do the Invictus Games,' Harry clarified. "There's no tattoo in this. I can't get a tattoo!"
So, Jelly Roll offered him a deal: "I'll play the Invictus Games, you just let me give you your first tattoo." "Alright, screw it, let's go," Harry gave in. When Jelly Roll suggested placing the new ink on Harry's neck, the prince joked, "I was thinking the lower back or on my ass."
"Nobody wants to see your ass, Harry!" Jelly Roll teased with a laugh.
Jelly Roll then proceeded to ink up the prince's neck. "This feels big man," Harry complained before letting out a yell saying. Eventually, Jelly Roll finishes up and reveals the link that reads, "I am Jelly Roll."
When Harry realized that Jelly Roll inked his own name on his neck, he exclaimed, "Is that your name? Does that say Jelly Roll? You put your name on my neck?!"
Jelly Roll answered as he fled the room, "I'll see you in Vancouver! I'll be there, I appreciate you!"
"Oh shit," Harry said as the video came to a close.
"The most 🤯 inking of a deal in Invictus Games history," the caption read. "Watch when Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex meets @jellyroll615 @eastsideinktattoo. Don’t miss this duo reuniting in Vancouver #IG25."
While it's unclear if Harry's new ink was the real deal or a fake for the bit, Jelly Roll will headline the closing ceremonies of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 on February 16, 2025. Other performers will be announced on Wednesday, November 20.
