Watch “Finding Mr. Christmas” hopefuls flunk a question about Hanukkah
The five remaining contestants tackle some holiday trivia in this week's episode of the Hallmark+ competition show.
The men of Finding Mr. Christmas know a lot about the titular season — but they clearly need to brush up on another annual winter holiday: Hanukkah.
In this exclusive preview of the Hallmark+ reality competition — in which 10 handsome men compete for a lead role in a Hallmark Channel holiday movie — the five remaining contestants are tested on their holiday "tree-via" in the Festive Face-Off challenge. As you'll see in the clip above, host Jonathan Bennett pulls in a "special guest" (a.k.a. an Entertainment Weekly writer who was on set reporting a feature on Finding Mr. Christmas) to ask the contestants a few trivia questions. One of them — "Which famous comedian has a song about Hanukkah?" — seems like a no-brainer. Alas, most of the Mr. Christmas hopefuls are stumped. Watch the full clip above.

Ho-ho-no! Those answers deserve a lump of coal. Dave Chappelle? Will Ferrell? Eddie Murphy? If you listen carefully, you can hear me laughing out loud at their blatant foolishness. (I know it was rude, but come on — Dave Chappelle?) At least Ezra and Elijah got the right answer: Adam Sandler, the man behind "The Chanukah Song," which he first performed on Saturday Night Live in 1994. Sure, the show is called Finding Mr. Christmas, but how does one reach adulthood in the year of our Lord 2024 without encountering one of the most famous — if not the most famous — songs about Hanukkah? (No offense, "The Dreidel Song.")

Fortunately, all five Mr. Christmas contestants got the next question right, though only two of them knew the proper spelling of "Mariah Carey." Let's just hope the Queen of Christmas doesn't find out.
