The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade returns to Manhattan on Thursday morning, with a lineup of talent including Jennifer Hudson, Kylie Minogue, Billy Porter, and Jimmy Fallon set to grace our screens during the broadcast this year. The festivities will include 22 balloons, 34 floats, over 700 clowns, 11 marching bands, and 10 performance groups. What time does the 2024 Thanksgiving Day Parade start?

The 2024 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade begins at 8:30 a.m. ET and will run until noon ET/PT. The festivities will kick off at West 77th Street & Central Park West in New York City, travel down the southwest side of Central Park, and head down 6th Avenue, ending at Macy's Herald Square at 12:00 p.m. local time.

The 2024 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will broadcast on NBC and simultaneously stream on Peacock from 8:30 a.m. ET/PT to 12:00 p.m. ET/PT. NBC will also air an encore broadcast at 2 p.m. ET/PT.

Who is hosting the 2024 Thanksgiving Day Parade?

Today's Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker will return to host the broadcast. The trio hosted the 2023 broadcast together and have a long history with the event: Guthrie has co-hosted every year since 2012, Kotb has co-hosted since 2018, and Roker has co-hosted every year (except 2022) since 1995. Sadly, it might be Kotb's final appearance at the helm as she recently announced her upcoming retirement from the morning show.

Who will be performing at the 2024 Thanksgiving Day Parade?

The parade will feature a star-studded lineup of musical performers, including Hudson, Minogue, Porter, Fallon, the Roots, Bishop Briggs, Kylie Cantrall, Chlöe, Dan + Shay, Dasha, Coco Jones, Walker Hayes, Ariana Madix, Joey McIntyre, Idina Menzel, Natti Natasha, T-Pain, Rachel Platten, Lea Salonga, the Temptations, the War and Treaty, Alex Warren, and Sebastián Yatra.

Additionally, TikTok star and Dancing With the Stars winner Charli D’Amelio and ballet dancers Tiler Peck and Roman Mejia are set to appear during the broadcast, and Jonathan Bennett, Liza Colón-Zayas, Tom Kenny, Ginna Claire Mason, and members of the New York Liberty are lined up for special appearances. And don't forget the marching bands!

Will there be any new balloons and floats this year?

Yes, there will be several new balloons and floats at the 2024 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The parade's official website says that floats featuring Minnie Mouse, Spider-Man, Gabby from Gabby's Dollhouse, Goku from Dragon Ball Z, Marshall from PAW Patrol, and Extraordinary Noorah with the Elf on the Shelf will all debut as new balloons at this year's event. And that's not to mention returning balloons like Snoopy, SpongeBob Squarepants, Bluey, Po from Kung Fu Panda, and Stuart the Minion.

New floats will feature Wednesday Adams, Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob's pet snail Gary, a Disney cruise ship, and more.

And the parade will, of course, welcome Santa Claus as he rings in the 2024 holiday season.
