Warriors want to build on 'big foundations'

Assistant coach Al Dickinson believes Glasgow Warriors "put in some big foundations last year" as they seek to impress in Franco Smith's second season in charge.

Warriors have won three out of four so far in the United Rugby Championship and host Benetton on Saturday.

"We've been okay," Dickinson told BBC Scotland. "There's a couple of things that we just need to tidy up on. Some of it's been very pleasing.

"We put in some big foundations last year. We've had a decent start. We've hit the ground running more in pre-season this year."

Benetton have also posted three wins but are one point short of Glasgow in the table.

"They've had a great progression the last five, six years," Dickinson said of the Italian side.

"It's a team full of confidence. I expect a very, very hard game."
