Moving in general is a difficult feat—but heading to a new apartment in NYC? Now that’s an entirely different beast. Thankfully, my fiancé and I decided to use a stellar moving company that did all the heavy lifting for us, but we still had to be on our feet from sun up to sun down. What do you expect from such a jam-packed day? Fortunately, I came prepared wearing my trusty Vivaia V Prime sneakers.

It’s all thanks to their spacious round toe, moisture-wicking insole, and breathable material. The lightweight design made zipping around a breeze, feeling as if I was barefoot in the best way. Best of all, I trekked 5,042 steps in the tennis shoes without aches or blisters—that’s nearly 3 miles, including various flights of stairs, rough city sidewalks, and numerous elevator rides. You may still ask though, “You wore white sneakers on moving day?” Of course I did. Not only are they extremely versatile, but they’re water-repellent and washable. I didn’t mind if they got a bit scuffed or mucky since I could pop them in the wash and get fresh kicks in an instant.
