'The Voice' Just Announced Huge Mega Mentor News
Can you believe we're already halfway into The Voice season 26? It feels like it just started, and the show continues to showcase incredible talent vying for the winning title. Well, it looks like the show just dropped an incredible twist for the next stage of the competition, and fans will definitely want to pay attention to this news.
Up until this point, viewers have seen Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani mentor the competitors to see if they can make it through the Battle Rounds. With that step of the season coming to a close, folks are gearing up to see who will be in the Knockout Rounds (which see each coach putting three of their artists against one another) that determine who goes to the live shows. While Michael, Reba, Snoop and Gwen will still be guiding their teams to victory, two more well-known musicians will be joining them on the journey to find "The Voice."
According to NBC Insider on November 4, Grammy Award winner Sting and EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson will be the Mega Mentors for the Knockout Rounds, which begin airing on November 11. Each one will have two teams to dish out advice to, with Sting coaching Snoop and Gwen's artists and Jennifer coaching Michael and Reba's contestants.
This is certainly news we weren't expecting! And if that wasn't enough, this is a homecoming of sorts for Jennifer.
Folks may remember she was originally an advisor for CeeLo Green's team back in season 3, before becoming a coach herself on seasons 13 and 15. What's more, she later went across the pond to star on The Voice U.K., where she starred as a coach for seasons 6 (where she won the competition) through 8 from 2017 through 2019.
While it's unclear how Jennifer and Sting's expertise will help the remaining contestants, it's certain to say we'll definitely be tuning into The Voice season 26 to see what happens!
