Virgin River is so close to debuting season 5, and ahead of the latest installment hitting Netflix, the show decided to reward their fans with a sneak peek of what's to come.
In a post uploaded on the show's official Instagram, viewers of the hit show caught a behind-the-scenes look at the new season. As folks see in the post, longtime couple Vernon "Doc" Mullins (Tim Matheson) and Hope McCrea (Annette O'Toole) hold each other as they peer lovingly at the newly-engaged Melinda "Mel" Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson).
"Love is a beautiful thing ❤️," read the caption from August 27. "New season premieres September 7th! Only on Netflix."
Fans were ecstatic to see a quick look at what's to come from the Netflix series, and many of them took notice of one key element that's essential to this season's storyline.
"Ummm… do I see a little baby bump on Mel? ☺️," one person wrote in the comments on Instagram. "Pregnant Mel's belly, they are so beautiful ," another exclaimed. "In love with this update 😍😍," a different user added.
Now, as fans may remember, Mel and Jack got engaged at the end of season 4, where they learned a few shocking pieces of information. Along with Mel finding out she's pregnant, Jack learns that the twins he thought he was welcoming with his ex Charmaine Roberts (Lauren Hammersley) are, in fact, not his biological children.
In addition to this exciting update, Deadline announced in May that Virgin River already got the green light for a season 6 renewal. What's more, along with the show's release date, the outlet announced in August that season 5 will be broken up into two parts. The first 10 episodes will air on September 7, while the final two episodes (which will be considered a holiday special) will drop on November 30.
We seriously can't wait to see what happens next!
