Video showing 'inside Meghan's baby shower' appears to hint it's a girl

The Duchess of Sussex spent time with her closest friends in New York last week, where they threw her a baby shower to celebrate her impending new arrival.

The bash, which took place at The Mark hotel, reportedly in the Penthouse Suite, was organised by tennis star Serena Williams and human rights lawyer Amal Clooney.

While details from inside the venue have been mostly kept under wraps, royal fans seem to think the duchess is expecting a baby girl.

A clip claiming to have been taken at the baby shower, has emerged on the instagram account @harry_meghan_updates, according to The Daily Mail.

The insta story showed pastel coloured desserts, including macaroons, and stork-adorned cakes laid out on a table.

Vases filled with pale pink and orange flowers could also be seen dotted around the table, along with personalised iced biscuits with ‘baby’ on them.

They appear to be similar to the cookies that Meghan’s make-up artist Daniel Martin posted on his own Instagram page and were reportedly designed by illustrator Darcy Miller.

There was also a two-tiered cake which featured a miniature paper cut out of Harry and Meghan standing next to a pram.

It is not known who filmed the clip or whether it is genuine, as the Instagram page had reposted it from another account, but it included The Mark hotel as a location tag, along with the hashtags #royal #babyshower and most noticeably #girl.

A team of florists were pictured delivering bouquets of pink roses, and orange and yellow tulips, as well as an orange tree to Upper East Side hotel The Mark.

Also delivered was a large box from modern, chic and eco-friendly nursery furniture brand Babyletto.

However, Meghan’s friend Abigail Spencer also sent fans into a frenzy after she was snapped arriving at the baby shower with two different bags of gifts that were wrapped in blue paper. Some felt this was a sign that they’re expecting a boy.

The Duke and Duchess reportedly have not found out the gender of their baby, recently telling locals during a walkabout in Birkenhead that they want a surprise.

Meghan and Harry have just completed a three-day visit to Morocco, their last overseas engagement before the duchess gives birth in April.
