Victoria Monét appears to be striking up a new romance.

The Grammy winner, 35, was spotted getting cozy with British rapper Stormzy in London on Thursday, Oct. 10, per photos shared exclusively by The Sun.

The “On My Mama” singer and the 31-year-old rapper (born Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr.) were seen embracing and kissing at Heathrow Airport less than a month after Monét announced her split from John Gaines.

The PDA-filled airport appearance also comes just three months after Stormzy announced his own split from TV host Maya Jama.

Monét and Gaines — who share a 3-year-old daughter, Hazel — announced that they had broken up in a joint statement on social media on Sept. 23, and revealed that the actual date of their separation was 10 months ago.

The timing of the announcement stemmed from the pair initially "avoiding a formal statement" about the breakup, the former couple wrote in the statement. But after facing "questions" about their relationship and "extremely false accusations of our origin story,” they decided to clear the air.

Before sharing the news, Monét and Gaines said they "thought long and hard about whether we owed it to anyone to explain where we are as we heal, since we understand how social media can magnify the truth or run far with untruths," but ultimately decided to "be open and address it in hopes to put a period on the question marks for the sake of our healing process."

“Though we still completely adore and respect each other, we are not a couple anymore. There was no infidelity, toxic behavior nor drama," the pair clarified. "We both just have some fundamental growing to do that would be best done apart so we can remain the best versions of ourselves for our daughter.”

Their romantic relationship “simply didn't work out and that's okay,” they continued. “We still think the world of each other and operate with love in every interaction for our family.”

Stormzy and Jama, 30, also announced their split in a joint statement on social media, according to the BBC.

In the statement, which they shared in July, the British stars — who previously dated from 2014 to 2019 before rekindling their romance in 2022 — wrote that they "tried, and it didn't work, and that's okay.”

"We've been laughing whilst drafting this because we never, ever, in a million years thought we'd be the couple announcing a breakup,” the former couple wrote, per the BBC. "But for the sake of clarity and, more importantly, to allow us the space and grace that's needed for us both to be able to navigate this next bit of our lives with peace, we thought it might be best to.”

Reflecting on the early days of their romance, the pair wrote, "We were 21 and 20 when we first met - both at the beginning of our careers - and spent five years growing together and then five years growing separately, so this final attempt required a whole lot of figuring out, relearning and unlearning."

The rapper and TV host also wrote that they “still think the absolute world of each other, we still care and respect each other, we are still grateful for the time we've had together, and we are still friends and will always be friends.”
