Yahoo Lifestyle Vernon Wells talks about airplane fights and pimped-out rides on 'Old Baseball Cards'
These days Vernon Wells is on a different side of baseball. The former All-Star outfielder, who spent 15 seasons in the big leagues with the Blue Jays, Angels and Yankees, recently became an agent, which means he’s all about making deals.
We made one on this all-new episode of “Old Baseball Cards,” Yahoo Sports’ baseball-card driven trip down memory lane.
We opened a pack of 2004 Topps and 1999 Fleer Ultra and Wells has plenty of stories to share, including about which former teammate had the most pimped-out cars in the league and which former teammate’s prank turned into an in-flight skirmish.
We also reflect on how good Brandon Webb and Jacque Jones were, how Wells always got the best of Josh Beckett and talk about another of Wells’ post-baseball ventures — his winery with former teammate Chris Iannetta.
As usual, we end the show with a trade, so you can see how our new agent fared in this deal.
