Yahoo Lifestyle Valerie Bertinelli's Message to New 'Kids Baking Championship' Host

Back in January, Valerie Bertinelli announced she would no longer be hosting the popular Kids Baking Championship on Food Network after eight years. While she had a heartfelt response to the unexpected career update at the time, she's now opening up about how she feels it will fare with a new host in its midst.
Ahead of a new season of Kids Baking Championship in the works, the November 4 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show saw Valerie (who is a lifestyle expert) interacting with current Food Network star Kardea Brown. She was revealed to be the next host of the competition series back in October, and host Drew Barrymore decided to bring up the fact both women held the same position. While the mention of Valerie's former job could've caused a not so nice reaction, the cookbook author had nothing but nice things to say about Kardea taking her spot.
"Val, you were the host of the Kids Baking Championship," Drew said, per People.
"And it’s now in excellent hands," Valerie responded.
If that wasn't enough, when Drew later asked Valerie what her favorite part was about working on the show, she had a heartfelt answer that Kardea agreed with.
"The kids, right?" she asked Kardea in a clip later posted on YouTube. "I mean, besides [fellow host] Duff [Goldman] ... it's the kids."
"The kids are so amazing, because you look at it... When we were 10 and 12, I wasn't worried about baking. I didn't think about it!" Kardea added. "So, these kids are like expert bakers, and it's fostering your child's interests."
Upon seeing Valerie break her silence with kind words about no longer hosting Kids Baking Championship, fans were impressed with her poise on live TV.
"Love Valerie 🤍 she is ✨✨✨✨✨," one person wrote in the YouTube comments. "I love Valerie Bertinelli on the show! ❤️❤️," another added.
