Urgent recall of Aldi Special Buy chair: 'Risk of serious injury'
An urgent product safety recall has been issued for a recliner chair sold by Aldi due to 'risk of serious injury'.
The chair, identifiable by the Sohl Furniture label on the back of the footrest, was deemed 'defective' by Product Safety Australia in a statement on April 15.
"The recliner chair may be unstable and may tip over during use," PSA states.
The statement goes on to say that if the chair does tip over, the person using the chair and others nearby could be at risk of 'serious injury'.
A tipping incident could also cause 'damage to property'.
