Parade has it on good word that Mountain Dew HoneyDEW will finally be released in the U.S., and according to food blogger Tyler Bowers (known online as TeamSupernovaFB), the fruit-flavored soda isn't expected to be a limited-time offer. So, as long as the release is successful, it could be added to the flavor lineup permanently.
The influencer, who so far has accurately predicted the release of Taco Bell’s Baja Blast Dream drinks, Wild Cherry & Cream Pepsi, and Wendy’s Thin Mint Frosty Flavor, was recently tipped off by a source claiming fans could see "the ultra-rare, highly sought after Canadian exclusive" Mountain Dew HoneyDEW on shelves as early as this summer.
Neither reps for Mountain Dew nor Pepsi responded to Parade's request for comment in time for publishing. We will update this story with any information shared.
Details are limited, but the honeydew-flavored soft drink is expected to be available in the U.S. sometime this July–but there is a catch, as TeamSupernovaFB reported that the new flavor won't be sold everywhere that stocks Mountain Dew or other Pepsi products.
Instead, it looks to be an exclusive release headed to select retailers across the country. "I'm shocked," the food blogger wrote via Instagram on Sunday. "This is one surprise I never in a million years saw coming."
The reputable food blogger admitted to not being able to review an official list of retailers just yet but confidently speculated that the new soda could be headed to Wawa, Meijer and Maverik locations. The sweet addition will join the newly-announced Monster Dew variety–Dragonfruit–said to be launching exclusively at Walmart in the spring and the revival of another fan-favorite flavor, Mountain Dew Summer Freeze, around the same time.
Fans looking for a more immediate way to quench their thirst should be on the lookout for other updates from Pepsi, including Sprite's expanded Chill variety and a re-release of a fan-favorite Sprite Remix flavor.
