He was one of the international guests who took to the stage at the 2018 TV Week Logie Awards on Sunday night.
And while in Australia, British singer Dan Caplan opened up about other artists he admires.
US rapper Kanye West was one of the names that came up, with Dan admitting he prefers the Kanye before the Kim Kardashian era, in the earlier days of his career.
“I like the old Kanye,” he told Be at Australian TV’s night of nights. “I mean he’s losing the plot a little bit.”
Dan may have been referring to Kanye’s recent behaviour which made headlines, including his incident at the TMZ office.
“When you hear about slavery for 400 years – for 400 years?! That sounds like a choice,” Kanye said when he barged into the newsroom back in May.
“Like, you was there for 400 years and it’s all of y’all? You know like, it’s like we’re mentally in prison.”
In 2016, the star was admitted to hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. A month later he shocked many fans when he met with US President Donald Trump.
Besides the drama and politics, there’s no doubt the award-winning artist is a musical genius.
So would Dan like to collaborate with Kanye?
“That would be great,” Dan told Be.
On Sunday night the R&B star took to the Logies stage alongside Jess Glynne for an impressive rendition of popular hit, These Days.
