Tziporah Malkah – formerly known as Kate Fischer – was the “It Girl” of the 1990s in Australia and had the world at her feet.
She was engaged to the son of the richest man in the country – James Packer – and was living the life everyone dreamed of even she admits she had “everything going” for herself.
Now, Tziporah has opened up about the real reason she and James parted ways and candidly admits she also “fantasised” about getting back together with him in an interview on A Current Affair.
“The [split] with James happened because he was under so much pressure from work,” the 44-year-old explained. “I just refused to marry a credit card and so that was the end of it.”
But the split left the former model totally “heartbroken”.
“I was very smitten with him. I was in love with him and it took me about eight years to get over it,” she admitted.
So much so, she dreamt about getting back together with him.
“I fantasised for years about us getting back together,” she said.
The pair started dating in 1993 and became engaged in 1996, but ended their relationship in 1998.
Tziporah ended up moving to the USA, but eventually returned to Australia in 2011.
