"You have no idea what it means to me to have been given the grace and the blessing to be able to tell THIS story!" he wrote alongside the clip. So, what will The Six Triple Eight be about? According to Netflix, the movie will tell the story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion that found a unique way to help with the war effort in the 1940s. The site writes the unit (which was made up of 855 women of color), went through a three-year backlog of mail that American soldiers hadn't received while away from home. They had six months to complete the mission, but they gave a boost of morale to the U.S. Army when they managed to do it in less than 90 days.

And if you're the type who doesn't want to wait to watch The Six Triple Eight on December 20, Deadline notes the movie will premiere in select theaters starting on December 6. After that, folks can tune in on Netflix to watch what's sure to be an incredibly moving film.
