Amazon devices are considered some of the best options in quality handheld tech and, based on reviewers’ comments, the brand’s Kindle devices are at the top of the list.

Now, for a limited time, the newest Kindle e-reader and the Kindle Paperwhite are currently on sale, bringing their discounted prices down to $70 and $100, respectively.

Sweetening the deal even further, both devices come with three months of free Kindle Unlimited.

While those who are already subscribed to the Kindle Unlimited service can opt-out of this option by simply selecting “Without Kindle Unlimited” while shopping the device, new subscribers can get three months of the special service at no additional charge.

While first-time subscribers can normally try Kindle Unlimited for free for one month, the duration is now tripled with the purchase of either of these devices.

However, it should be noted that the service is automatically renewed after the trial ends (at the beginning of the fourth month) for $9.99 per month. But you can cancel your subscription at any time with no risk of being charged.

While Kindle Unlimited can be enjoyed on a variety of devices including iPads, laptops and smartphones, many choose to keep the experience in-house with Amazon Kindle devices. Luckily, the two most popular options are currently on sale with one retailing for only $70.

The newest generation of the now-iconic e-reader features a built-in front light and includes Prime delivery, meaning it can be delivered to your door as early as tomorrow.

One shopper dubbed the device “an outstanding refresh of the [original] Kindle at an affordable price,” while another noted that it has “everything you need and nothing you don’t.”

Another popular option that currently stands as an Amazon No. 1 best seller and is now fully waterproof is the Kindle Paperwhite.

Boasting more than 41,000 customer reviews and an overall rating of 4.4 stars, the Kindle Paperwhite, now $30 cheaper, is a shoppers’ favorite among Amazon’s product lineup.

One shopper gushed that it’s the “best Kindle yet” while another added that it’s “a really impressive five-star e-reader.”

One particular reviewer who tested out its waterproof functionality provided proof of its performance, writing, “This is the best Kindle ever. If you are searching for a great reading device, then this is the one you want!”

The same reviewer noted that he “had to immediately test the waterproof feature” and was pleasantly surprised after submerging the device in a bowl of water.

“It continued to work fine even while underwater, and when I removed it, the paper towel wiped it dry without any issues,” the shopper explained.

While several reviewers pointed out that the only minor con may be that the device is made of plastic as opposed to metal, one shopper made it a point to note that this is actually not a setback for him as he said, “I like the feel of the Paperwhite’s rubberized back better.”

Both of these devices are currently on sale, and each features the option to add a free three month trial of Kindle Unlimited upon purchase. Amazon is also giving away the service for free for one month for new subscribers, outside of any device purchases.
