TVLine Items: Dope Thief Release Date, Pop Culture Jeopardy! Trailer and More
Atlanta alum Brian Tyree Henry is headed to Apple TV+ next March in Dope Thief.
The aforementioned crime drama, which counts Ridley Scott (Gladiator) among its executive producers/directors, will premiere with two episodes on Friday, March 14, 2025 (followed by new episodes every Friday through April 25).

Based on Dennis Tafoya’s book of the same name, Dope Thief follows “long-time Philly friends and delinquents who pose as DEA agents to rob an unknown house in the countryside, only to have their small-time grift become a life-and-death enterprise, as they unwittingly reveal and unravel the biggest hidden narcotics corridor on the Eastern seaboard,” reads the official synopsis.
The cast also includes Wagner Moura (Narcos), Marin Ireland (The Umbrella Academy), Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek: Prodigy), Nesta Cooper (See), Amir Arison (The Blacklist) and Ving Rhames (the Mission: Impossible franchise).
