TV star's dress branded 'inappropriate' for family show
TV star Holly Willoughby wore a dress with mesh cut outs while hosting Dancing On Ice last night in the UK – but some of her fans didn’t feel it was the right choice for the family show.
The presenter wowed in a floor-length, Jenny Packham gown, which she paired with red lipstick, smokey eyeshadow and retro waves.
The dress was pretty covered except for three, small cut outs, which – as women’s outfits tend to do – sparked plenty of debate after Holly shared the look with her five million followers on Instagram.

“Boobs look squashed”, one person said, while another wrote: “Just a little to much boobige [sic] on show.”
Another person suggested Holly, 37, shouldn’t have worn the plunging gown on a television show which airs before the watershed (Dancing On Ice starts at 6pm on ITV).
They wrote: “You shouldn’t be showing your boobs in front of the children.”
Holly’s look received similar comments over on Twitter.
#DancingOnIce . Don’t really appreciate seeing Holly Willoughby’s tits hanging out of her dress tonight on Dancing on Ice .. slightly inappropriate 🙄🤮 #coverup

@hollywills love you Holly and your style, but cringing a little at the cleavage showing through your dress 🤦♀️ it’s just not you.

However, Holly did receive some support for her look, with others praising the get-up.
One wrote: “Stunning lady just love this dress xx,” while another described the look as: “Pure vintage Hollywood glamour … absolutely beautiful!”.
Another person commented: “You were made for that dress.”

‘Britain’s Got Talent’ presenter Amanda Holden faced similar criticism when she wore a plunging Julien Macdonald gown with an open back during the show’s semi-final in 2017.
TV regulator Ofcom received some 90 complaints about the outfit from viewers, but the body maintained the clothing “did not raise issues” under its nudity rules.
