Presenter on the 'shocking' way she discovered husband's affair

A UK TV presenter has shared the shocking way she found out her husband had been cheating on her following the news of Dominic West's cheating scandal with Lily James.

During an appearance on This Morning, Vanessa Feltz shared the story of her emotional breakup with former husband Dr Michael Kurer, revealing that the hurt never goes away.

"Quite honestly it was 20 years ago and I still haven't got over it … my husband had left and I had no idea why," she said.

Vanessa said that her ex left her and their two daughters with no warning.

However, one day a journalist rang her house and left a shocking message for her that she discovered why Michael had left his family.

"I walked into the kitchen with my two little girls, played the answerphone message and the message was, 'We are aware that your husband is having an affair, please call me back'," she explained.

"Can you imagine? … I mean, I was shocked to the core."

Her daughters were still very young at the time and didn't understand what the message meant.

After ringing them back, Vanessa was told there was photo proof her husband had been cheating on her and would be published in the paper days later.

Nowadays, Vanessa has a new partner, who she's been with for over a decade after divorcing her ex.

It comes following the shock photos of Lily James and Dominic West passionately kissing in Rome were released, despite the fact The Affair actor and his wife are "very much still together".

Dominic shares four children with his wife: daughter Dora, 13, son Senan, 12, son Francis, 11, and daughter Christabel, seven.

The pair put on a united front by addressing paparazzi outside their home on Tuesday, telling reporters, "Our marriage is strong and we're very much still together."

According to Daily Mail, Catherine appeared anxious during the whole situation, keeping her hand in her pocket, hiding her ring finger and also carrying a wadded-up tissue.

A friend of Catherine's told the publication she was "devastated" when she saw the pictures as she believed she and Dominic had a "good marriage".

They added that she considered the marriage to be "probably over".

"She is privately fuming. There are some difficult conversations to be had, but those will take place behind closed doors. For now she was happy to display a show of unity and will always put her family first," the source said.

Friends told the publication the photo-call was "definitely Dominic's idea".
