British TV presenter Piers Morgan is known for his controversial comments and he hasn’t held back on his views about the Beckham family.
The 53-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter, who also claimed yesterday that he’d rather go to the pub than have Mark Wahlberg’s insane workout schedule, has now lashed out at David and Victoria Beckham’s actions.
His comments about David and Victoria come just days after they appeared on the cover of British Vogue, posing with water pistols with their four children, Brooklyn, 19, Cruz, 13, Romeo, 16, and Harper seven.
“The pictures made me vomit. It’s like, really? Is there no limit here? Making their kids prance about with water pistols,” Piers told The Sun in an interview.
“They’re constantly ramming them down our throats to prop up ever dwindling Brand Beckham. I just don’t buy it.”
Piers did admit that he’s only actually ever met David Beckham once and gets on ‘quite well’ with Victoria whenever they bump into each other.
“It’s a mutual annoyance level. I don’t hate them, I don’t particularly like them, and the way they put those kids out and make money off them for Brand Beckham I find vomit-making,” he said, referring to the Vogue shoot.
Piers isn’t the only one to have lashed out at the family’s Vogue spread, as many social media commenters were perplexed about one shot in particular, which shows the kids aiming large water guns at each other.
“Why the guns?” read one comment on British Vogue’s Instagram page.
“Use of guns is utterly tasteless,” wrote a critic.
“The use of any type of gun is tragic,” added a commenter. “Disappointed.”
“Fake guns but really, did you need to use guns as props?” read a comment on Victoria’s Instagram page.
“How can she smile if she has her son pointing a weapon to her head?” one of her followers added in response to comments remarking on the fashion designer’s pouty expression.
But others praised the photo as playful and “family goals,” accusing critics of being overly sensitive.
