TikTok continues to be a great source of makeup tips and tricks.

This “soap brows” hack comes from beauty guru and fashion boutique owner, Medina, who goes by medinaamua on TikTok.

In The Know’s Lisa Azcona tested the hack so you don’t have to — and she was impressed. Apparently, dabbing a spoolie brush onto a clear soap with glycerin is the perfect substitute for brow gel.

“It claims to get you fluffy, slicked up eyebrows that look fuller, brighter, brushed and feathery much like those seen on your favorite celebrities, influencers and models,” Azcona says, shouting out Janelle Monet and Ashley Graham as examples.

You’ll need a clear bar of soap with glycerin that won’t leave a white residue, a spoolie brush, water or setting spray and an eyebrow pencil.

First, Azcona wipes her brows to ensure there’s no foundation or makeup on them. Next, she applies the spray onto the soap.

She opts for Pear’s Transparent Original Soap, it’s gentle, highly rated and you can get a 12-pack for $20 on Amazon.

Azcona applies the soap onto the spoolie then uses the tool to brush her brows up. Then she shapes them to her liking and lets her brows dry for a few seconds.

“Be careful not to get soap on the outside area of your eyebrows,” she says.

Next, she fills in her brows using Benefit Cosmetics’ Precisely, My Brow Pencil Ultra-Fine Shape & Define. It lasts for 12 hours, is waterproof and the super tiny retractable point offers extra control.

You’ll want to be sure to check out the before and after side-by-side because Azcona’s eyebrows are incredible.

“I have to say I absolutely love this hack,” Azcona says. “My eyebrow hairs are naturally very thin and light so this hack really made them pop and look fuller than ever.”

The translucency of the soap allowed Azcona to be able to see the gaps in between her brows so that she could fill them in better.

“What I love the most is that the soap made my eyebrows harden just enough to keep them in place all day while keeping that very natural look to them,” she says. “This hack is definitely worth trying because it is super simple, it’s inexpensive and it gets the job done.”
