The tribute to Diana everyone should look out for on Eugenie's wedding day

Earlier this year when Prince Harry wed former Suits actress Meghan Markle, there were several special tributes to his late mother, Princess Diana.

It appears the upcoming nuptials of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are set to follow a similar suit, with a special nod to the late Diana, according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams.

The late princess was once close with Eugenie’s mother, Sarah ‘Fergie’ Ferguson, as the pair had both married into the royal family at a young age, although the pair did have a turbulent friendship throughout the years.

Despite this, Fitzwilliams claims Eugenie may include a favourite hymn of Diana’s in the wedding ceremony as a nod to her late aunt and old friend of her mother.

“Sarah may well pay a tribute to Diana,” Fitzwilliams told The Express. “They were famously friendly though they subsequently fell out.”

The royal expert noted such a tribute to Diana “would undoubtedly please William and Harry”.

“She might choose a hymn which Diana was fond of such as ‘I Vow To Thee My Country’ which was sung at Diana’s wedding and funeral,” he continued.

Whilst Fergie may make a special tribute to Diana, Fitzwilliams also claims the Duchess of York has another agenda of her own on her daughter’s wedding day.

Fergie is using the royal nuptials of her daughter to “regain some of the royal favour she so catastrophically lost”, according to the royal expert.

“This wedding is her chance to excel,” he said.
