Travis Kelce's Personal Property Recovered Across the Country Following Burglary

Travis Kelce's personal property has reportedly been recovered in Rhode Island, weeks after his Kansas City-area home was targeted in a burglary.

On Nov. 22, ABC News reported that authorities investigating a string of break-ins primarily targeting professional athletes found a watch belonging to the tight end in the coastal state's capital.

Earlier this month, TMZ reported that the FBI had gotten involved after similar crimes across state lines were linked. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' Belton, Mo., home was burglarized around midnight on Oct. 6, while the tight end's Leawood, Kan., property was targeted the following day during the middle of Monday Night Football.

It's still unknown what, if anything, was taken from Mahomes' house. However, the back door of Kelce's home was damaged and, at the time, it was reported that he was missing $20,000 in cash.

Clearly, the money wasn't all that he lost in the theft.

According to the publication, the athletes' neighbors also suffered recent break-ins. It's unclear if those neighbors are also in the sporting industry, but according to ABC, authorities suspect that Mahomes and Kelce were targeted due to their public game schedules.

As of writing, investigators are still determining if a crime ring was behind the break-ins. An internal memo from the NFL revealed that the burglars conducted "extensive surveillance," involving posing as service workers or neighborhood runners to get the lay of the land.

An anonymous security source told ABC that the criminals seemed to know exactly where to find what they were looking for and made it in and out of the homes in 15 minutes.
