Travis Kelce Says Taylor Swift 'Wasn't Too Happy' About Having to Postpone Her Buenos Aires Show
On the 'New Heights' podcast, the NFL star shared with his brother Jason numerous other details from his first trip south of the equator
Lighting and thunder didn’t stop Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce from making a memorable connection in Argentina last weekend, but the weather conditions did force the music superstar to postpone a concert — something Swift didn’t take lightly.
“She wasn’t too happy about it obviously, she kind of prides herself on performing through weather or rain and things like that,” Kelce, 34, said on the latest episode of his New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce (Presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment) podcast with brother Jason Kelce. “But when it’s unsafe to her and her crew and everybody in the stadium you gotta do what you gotta do.”
Yet the change in plans did have a silver-lining effect for the new couple, who instead enjoyed dinner at a Buenos Aires restaurant with Swift’s dad Scott on Friday after the concert was moved to Sunday.
“It wasn’t canceled, it was postponed as she noted, and you know what, I think everybody was accommodated for whoever missed on Friday to go on Sunday,” Travis recalled to his brother. “And sure enough, I think it ended up being perfect, everybody got to go.”

With the rain that day, the Kansas City Chiefs star’s first time south of the equator didn’t equate to “somewhere sunny” — where he teased he was heading on last week’s podcast during his bye week — but the trip proved to have many well-documented bright spots.
On Saturday night, Swift, 33, put an exclamation point on the concert by running offstage to Travis, where the two embraced and kissed.
Earlier in the evening, during the concert, the 12-time Grammy award winner changed the lyrics to her song “Karma,” singing, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.”
With seemingly thousands of cameras trained on Travis, the tight end’s reaction revealed his delight with a massive grin and his hands to his head in disbelief.
On the podcast, Jason, 36, couldn’t help but ask his little brother if he knew the lyric change was coming.

“Yeah no I had no clue that...” he began, before he shifted gears and admitted, “Well, I might have had a little bit of a clue, but definitely when I heard it come out of her mouth, [it] still shocked me.”
And while Travis attended an Eras Tour concert in Kansas City last July, he also couldn’t help but marvel at the sheer number of Swifties out to see Swift at Estadio Monumental (River Plate Stadium).

“I think it was north of 65, like 70,000 [people],” Travis told Jason, who then replied “Jesus.”
“Three nights in a row,” Travis added. “It’s crazy how many sold-out shows she has.”
