It comes as the second season of the Alan Cumming-hosted series is mid-run, having launched in January.
The psychological series is all about treachery and deceit. It sees a group of reality stars and famous faces play a murder mystery game in a castle in the Scottish Highlands. The group must work together on a series of missions to build a prize fund worth up to $250,000. Hidden amongst the Faithful are the Traitors, whose goal is to eliminate the Faithful and claim the prize for themselves. Under the cover of darkness, the Traitors murder the Faithful one by one in a treacherous spree, while the Faithful try to uncover the Traitors and banish them from the game. If the Faithful contestants banish all the Traitors, they will share the prize fund, but if a Traitor or Traitors makes it to the end, they will steal all the money.
The series, which recently won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program, currently stars the likes of Below Deck’s Kate Chastain, The Real Housewives of Miami’s Larsa Pippen, Dancing with the Stars’ Maksim Chmerkovskiy and British politician John Bercow.
The Traitors is produced by Studio Lambert and is exec produced by Stephen Lambert, Mike Cotton, Sam Rees-Jones, Rosie Franks, Tim Harcourt, and Jack Burgess.
It is based on Dutch series De Verraders, created by All3Media’s IDTV.
