Tori Spelling Recalls Scary Parade Incident That Left Her With a ‘Hot Sharp Pain’

Years ago, Tori Spelling attended a special holiday parade with one of her Beverly Hills, 90210 co-stars—and while the experience was memorable, the part that sticks out in her mind the most, more than three decades later, was not so jolly.

Spelling, who played Donna Martin on the teen drama in the 1990s, shared the memory in a post on Instagram on Saturday, Dec. 14. The post featured a photo from 1992 showing Spelling sitting beside actor Brian Austin Green, who played David Silver on the show.

In her caption for the post, Spelling said she was just 19 when the photo was taken, which also happened to be when 90210 "was at its prime.” Spelling and her “teen dream on and off camera” had been “asked to ride on an antique car” in the Hollywood Christmas Parade that year, an event that Spelling added she “had grown up watching” on TV.

“It was a great ride till I got shot with a BB gun,” she wrote.

The mother of five continued her caption by providing further details about the moment when she felt a sudden “hot sharp pain on my leg” as she and Green waved at the parade onlookers.

"I whispered to Bri ‘ omg I’ve been shot!’ he replied in our usual banter ‘ You’re being dramatic’. Fair, he knew me well. I had a flare for drama. After all it’s a teens right 😂,” Spelling recalled.

The 51-year-old actress said she chalked up the unexpected sensation at the time to her “overactive imagination” and continued waving as the parade progressed. It was only after the event was over that she checked the spot on her leg where she’d felt the sudden burst of pain. Once she did, she realized that, “sure enough there was a burn hole on my upper Levi thigh. ✅.” It was the jeans that took the hit, with Spelling assuring fans that she “was ok.”

“Needless to say, it took me decades to be able to ride in another parade,” she shared. Though Spelling’s in-person experience didn’t turn out as positively as she’d hoped, she enjoys watching the parade from afar years later.

“I still love the tradition of watching it annually on tv with my kids,” she wrote.
