Standard Sport understands Fulham have held talks with Silva over the prospect of extending his contract, which is currently due to expire at the of next season, amid fears rival clubs could look to exploit a £6m release clause in his deal.
“It has all come together for a really special moment and I am very positive about Marco,” he told The Athletic.
“He is very happy at Fulham, and all of us are very happy with him. We want that to continue, hopefully for a very long time.”
