Today star Scherri-Lee Biggs stuns in figure-hugging dress: 'Gorgeous'

She’s just finished a long stint as the Today show's fill-in weather reporter where she drew so much attention that there are now talks of a permanent role being created for her.

And although she’s now returned to her original spot on Nine News Perth, it seems there are still a lot of eyes on Scherri-Lee Biggs.

The former Miss Universe Australia turned TV presenter was inundated with compliments on Instagram this week after she wore this figure-hugging chartreuse dress while delivering the forecast.

Her social media was filled with fire emojis from adoring fans who loved the look, including Today's permanent weather reporter Tim Davies - whom she covered for over the summer - who wrote, “Deyodraaaaant,” alongside a fire emoji and a yellow heart.

The sleeveless midi dress is from Melbourne-based label Mossman, and features a bold draping detail over one shoulder.

It retails for $270 and appears a little more green than yellow on the Mossman website where it’s described as a ‘vibrant’ shade of chartreuse.

It does however, also come in a more neutral mocha colour in the midi-length as well as in a thigh-skimming mini-length, for those who prefer something a little shorter.

Scherri-Lee paired her dress with a bright pink lip and a stunning pair of $995 earrings from Western Australian jewellers Kailis.

The unique earrings feature two Australian South Sea pearls suspended in a sterling silver setting which is designed to resemble a beam of moonlight.

We may soon see Scherri-Lee lighting up our mornings again with TV Blackbox reporting that management at Nine is looking to find her a permanent role in Sydney after she won over so many fans while recently covering for regular weather presenter Tim.

According to the report, she wouldn’t be kicking Tim out of the job but rather be placed in a new position based in Sydney as she’s seen as a ‘future star’.

When Tim returned from holidays at the beginning of this week, he shared a photo of himself and Scherri-Lee in the Today studios on Instagram and thanked her for her hard work.

His fans responded by praising 31-year-old Scherri-Lee, writing, “Sad to see her go…”, “She really was fabulous,” and “You are both so entertaining and awesome.”

Another person wrote, “She was brilliant and needs to be on air more,” and another said, “I loved Scherri-Lee, she is bright, bubbly & gorgeous & really suited to morning television.”

In the meantime, the Nine News audience in Perth is surely glad to have its favourite weather presenter back on air.
