‘Today’ Fans Are Throwing Fire Emojis at Dylan Dreyer’s Red-Hot Nighttime Outfit
Dylan Dreyer went on social media to mark a co-star's milestone, but she also caused a stir with the outfit she wore to commemorate the occasion.
In early May, the Today show news anchor marked Al Roker's long career in journalism by attending a gala for his induction into the Broadcast and Cable Hall of Fame. Joined by Craig Melvin, Sheinelle Jones and other NBC producers, Dylan stopped people in their tracks when she showed up on the red carpet in a bold yet sleek ensemble.
For the event, Dylan arrived wearing a bright red sleeveless jumpsuit with a high neckline and wide flared pants. To bring some monochromatic pizzazz to the silhouette, the journalist wore a matching belt that cinched her waist in with a tied knot.
As the Earth Odyssey star's look was sophisticated and minimalistic, she continued this concept through the accessories she chose. She accented the ensemble with simple rings and teardrop dangling earrings. A peek from under her jumpsuit showed that she slipped on a pair of silver pointed-toe heels. Her short blonde hair was styled into its signature blown out look. What's more, she put on black eyeliner for a smoky effect, rosy blush and brown-toned neutral lipstick for makeup.
Shortly after the event occurred, Dylan took the time to pay tribute to her co-worker on Instagram, which featured another angle of her outfit. "My mentor (not sure he knows that) and my dear friend," she wrote on May 3. "No one is more deserving than @alroker on his induction into the Broadcast & Cable Hall of Fame!! Congratulations to a true legend and the kindest person you’ll ever meet!"
When Dylan's followers caught her unexpected fashion moment, they didn't pass up the opportunity to let her know how much they enjoyed it.
"❤️❤️❤️," one person wrote in the comments section. "Love your jumper!" another follower added. "Dylan is beautiful!!" a different user declared.
Even when she's busy distinguishing loved ones' achievements, Dylan knows how to make a statement. What's more, she's fond of wearing red when heading out to industry events. Back in February, the NBC meteorologist wore a plunging red dress for the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Dress Collection Concert in New York City.
