Titans LB Rashaan Evans ejected for punching Jake Butt, sets up Broncos TD
Tennessee Titans linebacker Rashaan Evans was ejected Monday night after punching Denver Broncos Jake Butt in the helmet.
The punch drew a 13-yard personal foul penalty that moved the Broncos to Tennessee’s 12-yard line with a first down late in the first quarter. Denver scored two plays later on a pass from Drew Lock to Noah Fant to take a 7-0 lead.

Rashaan Evans lost his cool, throws punch
The punch occurred in the secondary at the end of a 10-yard Phillip Lindsay run. Butt had a hold of Evans’ jersey as he was engaged in a block. When Butt maintained his grip after the play was whistled dead, Evans pulled free from Butt and punched him in the head with his right hand.
Butt suited up Monday for just his fourth NFL game after a third ACL tear and a meniscus injury forced him to miss all of 2019 and 2017 and all but three games in 2018.
The loss of Evans is a big blow for the Titans’ defense. The third-year pro started all 16 games last season and was second on the Titans with 111 tackles.
