On Sunday, Nov. 24, the country star, 57, took a break from his usual look while attending the Beatles '64 premiere in New York City with his wife, Faith Hill. The new television series, produced by Martin Scorsese, chronicles The Beatles' US debut in 1964 and rise to fame.
At the event, McGraw was almost unrecognizable without his signature cowboy hat. The musician's dark hair was on display, as was his salt-and-pepper stubble. He kept his ensemble simple with an eggplant-colored turtleneck, black pants and brown square-toe shoes.
Hill, 57, opted for a white button-down top, black blazer and light-wash jeans. Her dark blonde, shoulder-length hair was styled into voluminous curls.

McGraw's look may be jarring to his country fans, but those familiar with his acting roles probably won't be too thrown off. The country star appeared sans cowboy hat in films like Tomorrowland (2015) Four Christmases (2008), Country Strong (2010) and The Blind Side (2009).

The three-time Grammy winner made his acting debut on The Jeff Foxworthy Show in 1997, where he played Jeff's rival in a cameo appearance. In addition to his movie gigs, McGraw has landed roles on TV series such as Friday Night Lights and, in 2021, he starred alongside wife Faith Hill in the Yellowstone prequel series 1883. The show, which is available on Paramount+, tells the Dutton family origin story. McGraw has also appeared as his character, James Dutton, in two episodes of Yellowstone.
1883 marks the first time McGraw and Hill have played a couple after more than two decades of being together.

In September, McGraw celebrated his wife's 57th birthday with a sweet tribute on Instagram.
"Happy birthday to this remarkable woman! My beautiful, strong, crazy, badass wife," he wrote in the caption alongside a close-up shot of Hill on the set of 1883. "I love my girl with everything that I am and could ever hope to be! She is our beacon, our rock, our strength."
McGraw continued that he and his three daughters — Gracie, 27, Maggie, 26, and Audrey, 22, whom he shares with Hill — are "so very blessed" to have her in their lives.
"Our girls could not have a better role model in their lives as how to be an incredibly strong woman," he wrote. "And how to believe in themselves and be in charge of their lives (every aspect of their lives)! Let's honor the women in our lives with respect and make sure that we fight for their rights right alongside them!"
