TikTok's 'We listen, We don't judge' trend is so chaotic and we can't look away

If you spend time on TikTok, you might have seen videos of people sitting in front of a camera saying, "We listen, we don't judge." You might wonder what these people are doing if you're like us. Well, those folks are being incredibly chaotic all in the name of *checks notes* transparency.

"We listen, we don't judge" usually starts with two people who know each other (perhaps a couple, family members, or just friends). The pair agree to sit side by side in front of a camera and say in unison, "We listen, we don't judge," before taking turns revealing something the other person might not know.

Typically, the information revealed is a secret, something embarrassing or even a confession they thought they might never tell the other person. The catch is that whatever is said cannot be held against the revealer, and the individual hearing what's shared cannot judge what they just heard.

This seems mildly harmless, right? Except it's not. It's one of the most chaotic things we've ever witnessed. But, admittedly, we can't look away.
