The world is changing faster than a lot of us are ready for, especially in fashion. Many of us haven’t seen the inside of a clothing store, let alone a thrift store, in months. But with changes in the ways we shop, there are solutions like ThredUp. The online thrift marketplace offers a more sustainable way to shop — and even pass on like-new clothing.

According to HuffPost, the average American will probably throw out 81 pounds of clothes and accessories in a year. If you’ve never heard of ThredUp, it’s an actual online thrift store. Curated by the brand’s stylists, the brand compiles quality used clothing for women and children with about 15,000 new arrivals every day. You can expect to find used pieces from retailers like Lululemon, The North Face, Madewell, Coach and Kate Spade.

One of the coolest perks from the ThredUp brand is that you can get up to 50 percent off with your first order using the code NEW. The online marketplace sells thousands of items that are up to 90 percent off, some which still have the tags on them. You can snag dresses from Calvin Klein for as low as $7 or even the brand’s new Zero Waste ReFashion collection, a 200-piece line that’s entirely designed out of second-hand clothes.

Sorting through the ThredUp store may be the easiest thrift shopping you’ve done. The site allows you to select from plus sizes, maternity and you can even filter out anything designer label to shop at a reasonable price as well. If you have your eye on something, the site will even let you know if a product is already in someone’s cart so you can scoop it up fast.

If you recently did a closet clean-out, ThredUp will even set you up with its Clean Out Kits. After sending in your like-new items, ThredUp will inspect it for cleanliness and authenticity, photograph the item and then list the product for you. When it sells, you can collect your share in cash or ThredUp credit.
