Jack Vidgen's brutal clapback to Human Ken Doll
Jack Vidgen has lashed out at the Human Ken Doll, after he encouraged the young singer to steer clear of any injectables or plastic surgery.
The 22-year-old, who blew judges away in his return to stage on The Voice Australia, has been in the spotlight for his dramatic transformation from the young child star people remembered.
Speaking on the Kyle and Jackie O show on Thursday morning he said getting any advice from the man who has spent almost a million dollars on surgery was “weird”.
“I didn’t know who he was,” he told the hosts. “Apparently there was like a full interview and I’m like, ‘I don’t know you. I’ve never met you’.”
A warning from the Ken Doll
The Voice star was issued a word of warning by the Human Ken Doll, Rodrigo Alves, who has spent more than $900,000 going under the knife, earlier in the week.
“I don't encourage him to have any sort of injectables done,” Rodrigo told Daily Mail, adding “he is a singer and should be known for his talents and not deviate the attention from this to his appearance.
“(Getting injectables will) make his face puffy and have that ‘pillow effect’, speaking from my own experience. My advice to him is that he should concentrate on his music career and be happy.”
In total, Rodrigo has had more than 550 procedures, including one op in 2014 which led to a near-deadly infection that nearly killed him.
Jack Vidgen’s return to the spotlight
“I've never had plastic surgery or any surgery,” he told the Daily Telegraph, adding, “It's pretty obvious I've had my lips done with fillers”.
“These types of things [fillers] are common now, especially for people my age - it's not a big deal”.
Jack’s return to the spotlight comes as he makes an appearance on The Voice which comes almost eight years after he first found fame as the winner of Australia’s Got Talent.
