She’s the most important person in the royal family so when it was announced that the Queen wouldn't be in attendance at Archie’s christening, fans were left baffled.

The 93-year-old Monarch was believed to have a ‘prior engagement’, which was thought to be Holyrod Week in Scotland, which is a huge occasion for the Queen.

However, according to The Daily Mail, the diary clash was a huge blunder on Meghan and Harry’s part, with the couple forgetting to check the Queen’s availability before booking the big day.

In fact, it wasn’t only the Queen’s diary they failed to look at, as Archie’s christening was apparently meant to be on Friday last week, but that would have meant his grandad, Prince Charles wouldn’t have been able to attend.

The future king was in Wales to celebrate 50 years as the Prince of Wales and he only returned at the end of the week.

“There is huge support for the couple in not wanting to conform to tradition,” a source told The Daily Mail.

“They are young, they are striking out on a different path from other members of the Royal Family and there is enormous goodwill for them.

“But they shouldn’t do that without regard for tradition.”

Despite the Queen not being able to attend, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were surrounded by loved ones at Archie Mountbatten Windsor’s Windsor Castle christening on Saturday.

Meghan’s mum, Doria Ragland and Princess Diana's sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Baroness Jane Fellowes, were also in the snap.

Meanwhile, Meghan’s estranged dad, Thomas Markle, has spoken out after being snubbed by the couple.

"I have been asked if I would have liked to have gone to Britain to see my new grandson being christened. I was an altar boy at age 12, a confirmed member of the Queen's church at age 14, and Archie is my new grandson, so of course I would have enjoyed being there for the blessing,” Thomas told the Mail on Sunday.

“Wishing Archie and his parents health and happiness."
