They may be the hilariously entertaining faces that front Channel Ten’s news and current affairs program, The Project.

But each of the hosts of the show often lend themselves to other projects and causes, which leads to this big news of the week.

Comedian Peter Helliar recently extended his funny chops on the small screen as the male lead in local drama, How To Stay Married.

It’s now been confirmed that the production will be returning for a second season.

The comedy series, which also stars Lisa McCune and Darren Gilshenan, airs on the same TV network as The Project.

“We are thrilled to welcome Pete Helliar, Lisa McCune, and the gang, back for another season of How To Stay Married,” a Channel Ten spokesperson told TV Tonight.

“Production kicks off in Melbourne next month.”

The news comes as Channel Ten’s pilot week lineup continues to be heavily promoted, with a series of diverse shows promised to entertain viewers.

Amongst these are Roxy Jacenko’s I Am Roxy, My 80 Year Old Flatmate, Sydney’s Crazy Rich Asians and Part Time Private Eyes.

Pilot week is expected to kick off on September 8, with Casey Donovan’s Catfish Australia unfortunately not making it to air after it was recently dumped.
