The $13 Kmart pan shoppers are loving

We all have our favourites, but when it comes to bagging a pan you’ll love for less, Kmart is throwing up a serious contender.

The brand’s $13 non-stick frying pans are doing the rounds on Facebook, with shoppers saying they’re great value for money.

“Just a heads up. These Kmart non stick pans are awesome. Price is around $15- 25 each,” one person shared.

Others were quick to agree, saying, “we own three as well, these outdid others more expensive from another store”, and “I have these also the saucepans and they are better than my old Jamie Oliver tefal!”

Another said it outperformed her much more expensive pan: “I absolutely love these pans we have two of these from Kmart they are great and so easy to clean, the best non stick ones we have bought and I have a $90 non stick pan”.

But Kmart isn’t the only brand bringing competitive prices to the field, and Aldi’s range of Crofton pots and pans have also been widely praised.

Other bargain options

“I bought a complete set of Crofton pots/pans! Fifteen years later, still cooking like a champ!! (They are the shiny stainless with copper bottom!)” one person said on Facebook, while another wrote, “They work just as well as my name brands.”

Meanwhile the Acrosteel pans available at Woolworths come in at a more expensive price, but they regularly go on sale.

“Arcosteel Stonehenge Cookware Frypans are the best ones I’ve ever bought,” a woman wrote in reply to the Kmart pan post, “They’re on sale for $17-$21 in different sizes at Woolies this week too.”

“I got this a few months ago. Forget if it was $10 or maybe $15 (on sale),” a second person said about the same product, “And my lord is it a good pan. I’d gone from crappy old ones that EVERYTHING stuck too to this beauty that pancakes slide around in it before you’ve even touched them with the spatula!”

So there you have it, you don’t need to spend hundreds on an expensive pan range to unleash your inner Masterchef.
