Teresa Palmer's Hollywood breastfeeding revelation

Teresa Palmer says she’s glad film directors have allowed her to breast feed on set, otherwise she may have had to put her acting career on hold.

Speaking to Be at Sydney's Berlin Syndrome premiere, the 31-year-old Australian star highlighted the importance of Hollywood actresses being given the opportunity to balance their career with motherhood.

“I can do both,” Teresa says about feeding her two children on set and working. “Otherwise I wouldn’t be able to be an actor because the first and foremost my role is being a mother."

She explains that working on the set of Berlin Syndrome was made a lot easier as she was given her ample breaks to feed her two children.

"They were so welcoming and they’d always slot in breastfeeding breaks for me, and my son Bodhi knew the crew was just a welcomed member of the set."

Teresa explained that there was a definite movement towards embracing working mothers, especially in Hollywood.

"Every experience I’ve had as a mum has been so positive and lovely and welcoming."

The Aussie actress opened up about wanting more children and that she may make the move to live Down Under.

"I want so many more children, and I also just bought a house in Adelaide, so I would love for Adelaide to be my primary home and for my home in LA be the secondary residence."

The Aussie beauty went on to say that she loves female driven films and her inspiration is definitely representing deminism.

"I just love strong women, I actually gravitate towards strong female action characters."

She continued, "I like leaning towards those kinds of characters and those types of stories and I’d love being a part of those and want to keep on doing more of that and also I’m excited to play a mother in more films I haven’t had the opportunity to do that yet."
