Taylor Swift Isn't "Rushing" to Get Engaged—But She Might Be Thinking About Kids

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may have been together for over a year, but it seems that the pop star and the football player have no plans to get engaged anytime too soon. Despite a steady stream of engagement rumors, sources close to the couple claim that the pair aren't thinking about marriage just yet.

“Taylor does feel like Travis is The One, but jumping in is not her style. That’s just not how she does [things],” said one source to Us Weekly, explaining that Swift would take any engagement very seriously. “Marriage is a big deal, and she wants [it to be] forever.”

Despite this, another source added that Swift would “love to be engaged"—but, they confirmed, they “aren’t rushing it.”

With Swift's epic Eras Tour coming to an end later this week with her Vancouver shows, the singer is apparently hoping to dedicate some time to her relationship. “Taylor plans to stay in and hibernate [with Travis] for a while,” said the second source. The pair allegedly plan to spend time in Swift's New York apartment where they will do “‘normal things’ as a couple."

Although Swift is not "rushing" an engagement, she has allegedly begun to think about a potential timeline when it comes to having kids. “She’s not considering kids right now because of her career,” the first source said. “Taylor and Travis are both so busy.” The second source confirmed, however, that Swift "would love to be a mom in the next few years.” They added that Kelce might be on the same page: “[Swift and Kelce] very humble and family-oriented. That’s why [their relationship] works so well.”

The couple allegedly spent their first Thanksgiving together last week. As a source told People, "Taylor and her family were excited to host the Kelces this year. [Travis's brother] Jason was there with his family and kids too. It was very festive and special." It has been reported that the couple will be spending Christmas together, too. Kelce has even been doing his own deep dive into the niche corners of Swift's discography—so, although Swift and Kelce may not be planning an engagement anytime too soon, the pair are certainly closer than ever.
