Taylor Swift Fans Say Canada’s Justin Trudeau Is ‘Giving Prince William Energy’ With Eras Tour Appearance

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is taking Canada by storm, so much so that even officials in the highest positions of government are getting in on the fun.

Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau was spotted at the fifth of Swift’s six Toronto concerts this month, and fans were fascinated by the political scion’s actions at the concert.

Trudeau attended the Nov. 22 Eras Tour concert along with members of his family, and eagle-eyed Swifties spotted the politician grooving along to the music with the rest of the crowd.

The PM interacted with other concertgoers throughout the night, going so far as to exchange friendship bracelets with attendees in his section at the Rogers Centre.

One fan on X (formerly Twitter) wrote that Trudeau’s presence at the concert was “giving Prince William energy 😄,” a reference to the future King of England’s attendance at one of Swift’s London shows in June.

The Prince of Wales rang in his 42nd birthday in “Style” with his two oldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, at one of Swift’s concerts at Wembley Stadium. The royals met with the pop star, and the palace shared a photo of the four smiling widely as they posed for a selfie.

Swift shared a different photo from the interaction on her own social media, posting a snap of herself, William, George, and Charlotte alongside her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce.

“Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start 🇬🇧🇺🇸🤝,” the 14-time Grammy winner captioned the picture.

Swift has one more show in Toronto on Nov. 23 before crossing the country and taking the stage in Vancouver from Dec. 6-8.
