'Divine!': Target's new homeware range wows shoppers
Target has stepped up its homewares game and is wowing shoppers with a brand new range of must-have cushions, bedding, tableware and furniture.
The discount retailer’s luxe-looking yet affordable offering delivers a fresh fusion of Japanese and Scandinavian tastes and features clean lines, muted, earthy colours and natural textures.
Fans have taken to Target’s Instagram page to share their enthusiasm for the decor goodies, with one writing, “Love this range!” and another saying, “Beautiful homewares Target”.
Here are our hot picks to bring a little Japan-Scandi cool to your home from as little as $12.
Stackable baskets, $30
These matte black metal storage baskets are - yep, you guessed it - stackable, which makes keeping things tidy all the more chic.
“I need all of these,” wrote one shopper in the comments.
Maize Leaf Round Basket, from $15
A trio of natural, woven baskets can inject personality in any room of the house, from bathrooms to bedrooms to the living room. Starting at $15 for a small, you can grab ‘em all.
3 Pack 11cm Yensi Bowls, $12, and Wood Servers, $20
A few key items in this season’s earthy, muted tones - such as this 3-pack of stoneware bowls - are all you need to breathe new life into your table setting.
But not everyone was on board, with one commenter writing, “Looks like Ikea stuff. Boring.” Well, you can’t please them all.
Round Velvet Floor Cushions, $59
Excuse the pun, but Target’s ‘divine’ velvet floor cushions - which come in of-the-moment hues Olive and Rust - have customers, well... floored.
“Saw the floor cushions yesterday in store ... they are DIVINE,” gushed a fan.
Childcare Osmo Cot, $299
Target’s got bubs covered, too, with a sleek and understated Aspen wood cot and change table duo that is sure to be a staple in nurseries across the country.
“I love this and it’s so well priced!” wrote a shopper of the $299 cot.
“Where were these cots when we were paying $700+ for them?” asked another.
Akira Side Table, $79
Rounding out Target’s homewares drop is the Akira side table made of natural ash wood and wood veneer.
If that tickles your fancy then you might consider the matching desk and bench seat, $119 each. Also in the Akira collection are two sets of shelves, 3 and 5-tier, which, according to a comment from Target on Instagram, are ‘expected to be restocked online in early/mid-March’.
