Tarek El Moussa Takes a Jab at Ex Christina Haack's 3rd Husband Josh Hall: He'd Be 'Slowing Me Down'

Tarek El Moussa is revealing what he really thinks of his ex-wife Christina Haack’s estranged third husband Josh Hall.

The Flipping El Moussas star shared his thoughts on potentially having to work with Josh in response to a comment that Christina left on a Dec. 17 Instagram Reel.

In the video, shared jointly by Tarek and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa, the couple address if they’d be up for making a second season of The Flip Off — their upcoming HGTV show (out 1/29), in which they'll compete against Christina in a house flipping showdown.

Christina chimed in in the comments saying she'd be willing to do a second season but, “Only if @theheatherraeelmoussa is my partner next time. Tarek you can have Josh 😜.” Christina's now-estranged third husband was originally supposed to be her partner on the show before he filed for divorce in July after three years of marriage.

Sharing Christina’s comment on his Instagram Stories, Tarek made a dig at her ex in his reply, “Even with Josh slowing me down, I can still beat the girls,” to which Christina responded: “Game on.”

In the same video clip, Heather and Tarek open up about how the show made them closer to Christina, especially after a rocky start to the trio's co-parenting relationship.

“I feel like it was fun. It brought us all together in a different way,” Heather says of filming with her husband and Christina. “They haven’t filmed together in years, and her and I have never filmed together or worked together.”

Christina and Tarek were married for seven years and continued to film their hit HGTV show Flip or Flop for several seasons after their 2016 split. They share two children — daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9. Tarek and Heather tied the knot in October 2021 and welcomed their son Tristan in January 2023.

Now that all three stars have a good co-parenting relationship and enjoy filming together, Heather says The Flip Off season 2 could be a possibility.

“I feel like it was fun, I think we would do it again,” she says in the Reel, followed by Tarek adding, “Yeah, we have good on-screen chemistry.”

While viewers can expect to see Tarek and Heather compete as partners in the house flipping showdown, it hasn't been confirmed who Christina will be teaming up with after Josh’s departure.

HGTV recently teased that she’ll be “on her own” in the show but will turn to her “trusted team” for help. Though it’s unclear if she’ll have multiple partners or just one throughout the season, it’s possible her Christina on the Coast contractor Michael Lange might be stepping in, following several appearances in the stars' recent social media

Christina’s second husband Ant Anstead will also make a cameo on the show, however he won’t be her partner. HGTV confirmed he will be one of the competition's guest judges after he was spotted on set with Christina in November.
