T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach are hitting another milestone in their relationship!

On the Dec. 18 episode of their Amy & T.J. podcast, the couple opened up about how the holidays are looking a little different from years past. Holmes and Robach, who began dating in 2022, revealed they will be spending Christmas together for the first time.

"This has been a long road coming,” Robach, 51, said. “So we've been together for more than two years, and this was our first Thanksgiving that we got to spend actually together, and this is going to be the first Christmas Eve and Christmas morning we wake up together. But we did that for our daughters. We let them lead the way, and we wanted them to be ready before any of this started.”

Holmes, 47, is the father to 10-year-old Sabine while Robach has two daughters, Annalise, 21, and Ava, 18. Though they all get along well, she explained that quality time is not something the blended family often experiences.

“I'm really looking forward to recognizing how cool it is that we get to spend quiet time together, quiet time with our daughters for the first time since we've been together,” Robach said. “And so this is really big, important month, and I'm trying to remember and not get lost in the craziness of it all, but really try to remember how grateful I am that we're at the place we're at."

Holmes explained that he was excited to bring their families together for the holiday, noting that he had been spending a lot of time with Robach's kids recently — even going to her daughter Ava’s play earlier this month. The pair also brought Annalise and Sabine to iHeart's Jingle Ball on Dec. 13 for their red carpet debut.

Still, he admitted he still has some nerves.

“I mean, you can't help but be a little anxious,” Holmes confessed. “You're opening gifts in front of each other, you're working up together on the most important of holidays to a lot of folks. So no, it's just brand new. It's brand new for everybody.”

“As much as we've already spent a holiday together, it's just Thanksgiving, [and] not all of us,” he continued.

Robach added: “Thanksgiving went really, really well. So I'm very very hopeful about this Christmas week.”

The former GMA3 anchors first sparked dating rumors around the holidays in 2022 after they were seen cozying up at a bar in upstate New York. In December of that year, they were placed on hiatus from their hosting gigs and later exited the show.

In April 2024, they opened up about the idea of marriage, with both saying they were unsure whether they would ever officially tie the knot. Robach said that she did want to move in with Holmes at some point, but explained that she felt they could be "life partners" without being legally married.

“We work together, and we prep for work together ... and so we're never [apart] and we've been like this for a very long time,” she said. “I just think we're so used to constantly being around each other. That would not change anything."
