Sydney's best pizza

Pillow-y, tomato-y, truffl-y goodness.  We found the best pizza places in the harbour city.

Society Pizzeria, Potts Point

Officially our favourite traditional Napoli pizza in Sydney. You won’t be able to decide between the Bufala mozzarella, porcini mushroom, sausage, and chilli offering and the smoked leg ham, creamy ricotta, shaved Grana Padano – so why not get both?

Not only do Society to gluten-free bases, on Mondays it’s Society Salto which means a $20 pizza degustation, $10 spritzers and local DJs on the decks.

Society Pizzeria’s Bufallo motz, porcini mushroom, sausage, chilli is divine!

Wash down your epic pizza with a side of truffle fries – the showstopper at Society Pizzeria.

Via Napoli, Surry Hills, Hunters Hills and Lane Cove

They are famous for their one meter pizzas and so they should be – that pillowy stretch of cheesy-tomato dough is heaven. The menu here can be long and overwhelming but luckily the staff are so incredible at what they do they can choose something different for you each time and it’s always a winner.

Ventuno, Walsh Bay

Just a short scenic stroll from The Rocks Ventuno, sits on the water with plenty of alfresco dining. We love the Taffu – tomato base, mozzarella, ham, Italian fennel sausage and gorgonzola cheese all for $26.

The Clock, Surry Hills

We know it’s a pub but the pizza at this famous Surry haunt is very good. Our pick is the ol’ tomato, basil, buffalo mozzarella. Wash it down with some fine ales on tap in the bustling atmosphere.

Orazio Pizza + Porchetta, Bondi

Bondi’s most ‘scene’ pizza joint isn’t just a cool hangout for ridiculously good-looking people, the food is some of the best traditional Italian in Sydney. The pizza is fab here but branch out and get the rotisserie porchetta Focaccia with cos lettuce and marinated grilled eggplant.

Sergio’s, Newtown

One of South King’s newest pizza offerings. All your traditional Napoli faves with a good price tag, BYO and amazing starters. The bruschetta is next level and so is the salt and pepper squid and prawn!
